Staff Protection
locusXact systems are installed in a wide range of mental health units, hospitals and care facilities where staff need the reassurance that they can raise an alarm showing their location when they encounter abuse or violence.
A robust and lightweight mobile device carried by staff ensures alarms are prioritised and responded to as quickly as possible. This is in line with the recommendations of the NHS HNB 03-01 and HTM 08-03 for Staff Attack systems.
Key features -
- Emergency alarms activated from the mobile device using red button, magnetic ripcord or man-down. An assistance alarm is provided to summon help for less critical situations.
- Accurate location with dual infra-red and wireless beacons ensures responders arrive as soon as possible. Anti-vandal/ligature beacon enclosures ensure further safety and reliability.
- The mobile alarm device is pre-armed with its location so that when an emergency occurs there is no need to check the location first. Both infra-red and wireless technology are used to ensure that the alarm location can be signalled even if a staff member has fallen on the device and covered it up.
- Outdoor, IP rated location beacons available where wireless still effective but IR not so.
- Secure 2-way wireless messaging and dual IR and wireless location beacons ensure the alarm is responded to even if the IR is covered during an attack.
- NFC technology for unique staff login or logging in to key areas.
- Robust, waterproof mobiles and anti-vandal/ligature beacons ensure high degree of system availability.
- Battery powered portables, beacons and fixed pushbuttons make for quick and easy installation with minimal cabling.
- Battery powered, wireless pushbuttons with anti-tamper can be wall-mounted and integrated into the system.
- Integrates with a wide range of nurse call systems.
